About

My name is Leeanne McLeod, and I am an Independent Funeral Celebrant.

Originally from the beautiful island of Bute, on the west coast of Scotland, I am now based in Hertfordshire, where I live with my two teenage daughters with whom I spend much of my time.

I have an extensive background in the Arts and I have spent many years being involved with different elements of the theatre, ranging from marketing to performance.

I have a great passion for people, hearing their stories and learning about their lives. Over the years, I have thoroughly enjoyed dealing with the public through both my work and volunteering for various organisations.

My decision to train as a Funeral Celebrant was born from my enjoyment of creative writing, which is an integral part of developing services for families. But more so because I see it as a privilege to learn of someone's life's journey, and to be given the role of creating a fitting service in celebration of that life.

I myself lost my parents when I was still quite a young woman and the memories of the support given to us as a family have stayed with me through the years, and so in turn, I decided that I would like to offer something to other families who are dealing with a loss, while understanding much of what they are going through.
